President Bola Tinubu has called on the nation’s judiciary to safeguard its integrity and stamp out all forms of misconduct. Speaking at the 2025 Conference of Nigerian Judges of Superior Courts of Record, he stressed that the justice system must remain beyond financial influence and must uphold the highest ethical standards.
The president warned that corruption anywhere in government undermines national progress, but corruption within the judiciary poses an even deeper threat. He said a compromised justice system erodes public trust, weakens governance, and shakes the foundation of the country’s democracy.
Tinubu also emphasized that the executive, legislature, and judiciary must remain aligned in purpose while carrying out their separate responsibilities. He noted that the courts do not stand alone, and that all arms of government share a collective duty to Nigerians to protect democratic values and ensure justice.
