NAF Strikes Hard: Air Force Destroys Bandits’ Stronghold and Logistics Base in Zamfara

A former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Kabiru Turaki, has been elected as the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP at the party’s national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to an announcement by Senator Ben Obi, Delegates from 17 states participated in the exercise, where Turaki secured 1,516 votes, defeating Senator Yakubu Danmarke, who scored 275 votes, Obi also confirmed Solarin Adekunle as the new Deputy National Organising Secretary. A total of 3,131 delegates registered, while 2,745 were accredited for the convention, which took place at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

Before voting commenced, the PDP expelled Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and eight others on allegations of anti-party activities and actions deemed harmful to party unity.
