Days after the Super Eagles ended Benin Republic’s World Cup hopes, the Super Falcons are ready to face the same nation in the final qualifying round of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON)
Head coach Justine Madugu has invited 21 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Michelle Alozie, Ashleigh Plumptre, and Osinachi Ohale,
Midfielders are Jennifer Echegini, Christy Ucheibe, and Deborah Abiodun, as well as forwards Asisat Oshoala, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Esther Okoronkwo, and Folashade Ijamilusi.
The first leg will take place at the Stade Kegue in Lome while the return leg is scheduled for the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on Tuesday, 28th October 2025.
The tournament also serves as Africa’s qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
