IKOM LGA Executive Chairman DUBS building materials Market at Goshen Land.

The Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Hon. Pst. [Mrs.] Mercy Nsor, has officially declared open the commencement of the construction of the new Building Materials Market located at AkpaNde, popularly known as Akparabong and Nde. While leading the Executives and Members of the Building Materials Association to the site, the Chairman named the Market “Goshen Land,” symbolizing a place of prosperity and abundance.

In her declaration speech, the Chairman expressed her excitement to witness the realization of this long-awaited project. She commended the efforts of the people of Akparabong and Nde and the entire Ikom community for their unwavering support and cooperation towards achieving this goal.

“The new Market is expected to boost economic activities in the area, provide employment opportunities, reduce traffic/congestion along the Ikom-Calabar road, and improve the livelihoods of the residents. Let me assure you that the local government will provide the necessary support to ensure the successful relocation of Building Material members and the completion of the project within a period of six months.” Hon. Nsor added.

The construction of the Building Materials Market is a testament to the local government’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of the people, enhancing their economic well-being and quality of life.

As the construction work begins, Building Material Members, businessmen and women, and other stakeholders are optimistic about the project’s potential to transform the area and contribute to the economic development of Ikom LGA.
