Comrade splendour the 2023 guber candidate of the labour party has condemned activities ongoing in the state and sees it as a distraction to the state urging youth and the good people of Ebonyi state to give peace a chance.
In his statement as quoted,”
I really have not seen any sense in the hoisting of billboards with the inscription 4+4 everywhere in Ebonyi State when it is obvious that we are not yet in campaign.The Governor should be allowed to concentrate and work harder to see that some projects are completed and commissioned in three years of his inception in office instead of been distracted with 4+4. The people responsible for this distraction should retract their steps so as to give our Governor the chance to focus on governance and deliver the desired democratic dividends to our people.
There are too many distractions in this government. Just the other day we saw one Jeremiah who claimed to be trekking from lagos to Abakaliki and this has caught the attention of most people serving in this government. Where have we seen such foolish behavior in the South East if not in Ebonyi State? I can assure you that after deceiving himself in the name of trekking from Lagos to Abakaliki, he may be gifted with SUV and some millions if not billions and this singular action by the Governor will trigger so many sycophants to commence their own trek from Heaven to Abakaliki to appreciate the Governor for waking up every morning. Too bad!
Our Youths must turn away from sycophancy and focus more on demanding good governance from the government of the day for the benefit of the people and the development of our State and Country at large.
Praise Singing is what emboldens our rulers in government not to care about the welfare of the people, the protection of lives and properties, rigging our elections etc. If the youths can say no to sycophancy, i can assure you that the people in government will realize that power belongs to the people, they will be forced to know that they are in office to serve the people and not to be served/worshiped by the people. Let us begin to think like today’s leaders not future leaders that will never come! Comrade splendour.
