The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared its sweeping victory in last Saturday’s legislative bye-elections held across 12 states as a resounding vote of confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the outcome as a “massive triumph” that reflects growing public trust in the party’s governance and policy direction under President Tinubu’s administration.
He said, “This win is yet another solid endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to deliver and now steadily delivering, transformation of our country’s economy and other sectors of national life.”
The APC commended the President for fostering what it called a “level playing field” in the conduct of the elections, and expressed appreciation to its governors, party leaders, and supporters nationwide for their contributions to the victory.
The statement also highlighted the performance of the party’s newly elected lawmakers.
The party urged them to translate the mandate into legislative initiatives that will directly benefit their constituents and further advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Special commendation was reserved for the APC’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, under whose leadership the party recorded what was described as his “first dominant victory.”
“This is a strong pointer to greater things to come,” the party noted.
The party applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conduct of the elections.
It acknowledged the role of security agencies in maintaining order, despite isolated incidents of electoral violence and voter suppression in some districts.
The party closed its message with a renewed appeal to Nigerians to continue supporting the Tinubu-led administration, emphasizing that the path to national prosperity is clearer than ever.
