Army Chief Reaffirms Army’s Commitment To Promoting Peace

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has emphasized that true security extends beyond the deployment of armed forces but improving the standard of living, particularly in rural communities. 

Speaking through the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command TRADOC, Major General Kevin Aligbe, the Army Chief reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to promoting peace, strengthening civil-military relations, and supporting grassroots development.

This commitment was highlighted during the commissioning of a newly constructed, state-of-the-art Primary Health Care Centre in the Umuchieze community of Abia State. 

The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 82 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Olabisi Ayeni, said the facility is fully equipped with modern amenities to ensure effective healthcare delivery.

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, represented by the Commissioner for Health, Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche at the occasion lauded the Nigerian Army’s effort, describing the facility as more than just a building, but a beacon of hope.
