President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will continue investing in infrastructure and economic development until the benefits of its reforms are felt in homes across the country.
The President gave the assurance during the commissioning of the Access Roads, Power and Water Supply Project for the Informal Sector Layout in Wasa District, Abuja.
Represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, Tinubu described the project as another step towards ensuring that every community benefits from national development.
He acknowledged that many Nigerians are facing economic hardship as a result of the government’s reforms but insisted that the challenges are temporary and necessary to rebuild the economy for long-term growth.
According to the President, the administration is investing heavily in agriculture to improve food security while expanding infrastructure projects that will create jobs and stimulate economic activities across the country.
Earlier, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike, described the Wasa project as a strategic response to the long-standing demands of artisans and mechanics who were relocated from the Apo Mechanic Village.
He said the project reflects the government’s commitment to providing modern facilities that support businesses and improve livelihoods.
