The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has presented certificates of return to Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, and his deputy, following their re-election victory in the November 8, 2025, governorship poll.
The certificates were handed over today in Awka by Kenneth Ikeagu, the Supervising INEC National Commissioner in charge of the Anambra election, two days after Soludo and Ibezim were officially declared winners.
During the ceremony, Ikeagu explained that the presentation complied with Section 72(1) of the Electoral Act 2022, which mandates INEC to issue certificates of return within 14 days to duly elected candidates.
Governor Soludo and his deputy were accompanied by their wives to the INEC headquarters in Awka for the presentation. Their victory officially marks the beginning of a new term under the APGA administration in Anambra State.
