Osun Assembly Approves N705 Billion 2026 Budget Draft in Second Reading

The Osun State House of Assembly today passed the state’s N705 billion 2026 Draft Appropriation Bill for second reading.

The bill’s policy thrust was presented by Adewumi Babajide, the House Majority Leader, who explained that the increased budget size is aimed at supporting ongoing infrastructural development and other critical state projects.

Members of the Assembly commended the budget, describing it as essential for the economic and infrastructural growth of Osun, and urged its swift passage. Speaker Adewale Egbedun aligned with their views, assuring that the bill would receive careful attention.
