Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, the Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, has officially introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to members of his congregation.
The introduction took place during the church’s Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at its headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State.
The announcement followed a social media post shared by the pastor on Saturday, October 31, in which he uploaded a photograph of two hands wearing wedding rings with the caption, “To New Beginnings.” The post immediately generated reactions among his followers, with many speculating about a possible remarriage and sending congratulatory messages.
Jimmy Odukoya was previously married to Oluwakemi Banjoko in 2013 in London. Their marriage produced two children before the couple eventually separated.
However, the speculation surrounding his latest post was put to rest during Sunday’s service when the pastor formally presented his new wife to the congregation.
In a light-hearted moment, Odukoya teased members of the church, joking that they were always eager to hear the latest gist and suggesting that it was time to end the service.
When the congregation protested, he referenced his Instagram caption, saying, “New beginnings,” prompting loud cheers and applause.
Before making the announcement, the pastor requested a romantic instrumental from the church pianist and showed his excitement with a few dance moves.
He subsequently explained that he had spent some time navigating life alone since becoming the church’s senior pastor before eventually finding a suitable partner.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Adam and Eve, he spoke about finding someone he could share his journey with.
He said, “Ever since I became your pastor, I was doing this walk of life alone, and you know, the Bible said it is not good; it said I will find somebody suitable.”
He further described their union as a significant moment, referring to it as a Kairos moment, a biblical expression associated with an appointed or special time.
Addressing the congregation, he finally revealed the identity of the woman behind the announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya, your First Lady and my wife. Let me be a gentleman. Pastor Mo Odukoya. Please bring out my wife,” he announced.
Moments later, Pastor Mo Odukoya walked onto the stage as members of the congregation rose to welcome her with enthusiastic cheers and applause.
Jimmy walked forward to escort his wife onto the stage, where he warmly celebrated her and sought the congregation’s approval, asking, “Did I do well?” The congregation responded with an enthusiastic “Yes!”
In her welcome address, Pastor Mo expressed her happiness at joining the Fountain of Life Church family and standing alongside her husband.
She described it as a privilege and honour to be part of the congregation and serve alongside the senior pastor.
Pastor Mo is the daughter of Reverend Titus Daniel and Reverend Mrs Bolaji Daniel.
The occasion also featured prayers and blessings from Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, whom Jimmy Odukoya described as a trusted voice of wisdom with longstanding ties to his late mother’s family.
Bakare, accompanied by his wife, Olayide, was invited to pray for the newlyweds and their new journey together.
During his remarks, he acknowledged the challenges the Fountain of Life Church had experienced but expressed confidence that the congregation would overcome them.
He also offered prayers for the couple, asking God to establish their marriage on a foundation of love, peace, stability and mutual understanding.
Bakare further disclosed that the couple had solemnised their marriage in the United States, although he was unaware of the exact date of their wedding.
Praying over the union, he asked God to strengthen their relationship, protect their household and guide them in their responsibilities within the ministry.
He also prayed for the continued growth and expansion of Fountain of Life Church, expressing confidence that the couple’s union would become a positive example to others.
The introduction of Pastor Mo Odukoya marks a new chapter in Jimmy Odukoya’s personal life as he continues his leadership of the Fountain of Life Church.
