Meanwhile the Nigerian Army has intensified nationwide operations against terrorists, insurgents, and criminal networks, achieving notable successes over the past 48 hours. The operations align with directives from the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, to dismantle terrorist and criminal networks.
In a statement on Sunday via the Army’s official X handle, the force reported that seven terrorists were neutralised, 27 suspects were arrested, and arms, ammunition, and stolen crude oil were recovered.
The Army emphasized that these operations reflect a revitalized combat posture under Lt. Gen. Shaibu’s leadership urged the public to provide credible information to support ongoing missions.
