“Tinubu Pledges to End Insecurity, Vows Nigerians Will No Longer Live in Fear”

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ending insecurity in Nigeria, stressing that no citizen should live in fear.

In a statement posted on his official X handle, president Tinubu announced that he had canceled his scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee national security efforts amid recent abductions. He described safety as a fundamental right of every Nigerian and vowed not to relent in confronting criminality across the country.

He highlighted recent security successes, including the rescue of all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, and the recovery of 51 students kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State.

He also stated that he receives continuous updates from security forces and is monitoring the situation nationwide closely and consistently.
