The Management and Editorial Board of Nigerian NewsTime Newspaper hereby express profound appreciation to various stakeholders especially NOA DG, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu for the successful hosting of its official programme held yesterday at the National Orientation Agency (NOA) headquarters, Abuja.
The programme recorded the presence of distinguished stakeholders within the media and national public communication sector. The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, was duly represented by Mrs. Theresa Maduekewe, Director, Abuse, Rights and Narcotics. Nigerian NewsTime acknowledges with gratitude the Agency’s consistent support for national enlightenment initiatives.
The Management also appreciates the full representation of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), led by the Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Council, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, whose attendance reinforced the strong collaborative relationship between the media and national institutions.
A major feature of the engagement was a public lecture titled “Illicit Drugs, Insecurity and Nigeria’s Economy.” The presentation offered critical insights into the impact of drug misuse on national security and socio-economic stability, underscoring the need for broad-based stakeholder intervention.
During the event, the Schools Project: “Campaign Against Misuse of Illicit Drugs” of the Nigerian NewsTime Foundation was formally unveiled. The Management also launched a new educational book titled “Dangers of Illicit Drugs,” alongside the presentation of awards to notable achievers across Nigeria.
The Management extends sincere appreciation to all invited guests, partners, media professionals, and stakeholders whose contributions ensured the success of the programme.
