The Federal Government has announced that Nigeria’s fast-growing creative industry is open for business, encouraging both local and international investors to explore untapped opportunities in arts, culture, tourism, and entertainment.
This was disclosed by Mukhtar Mohammed, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, during a press conference in Abuja to mark the commencement of the Creative Economy Week 2025.
He emphasized that Nigeria’s creative talents spanning Nollywood, music, fashion, and visual arts are more than cultural exports, they are global cultural forces that shape international perception and drive influence across borders.
Mohammed praised Nigeria’s young and innovative population, describing it as a key asset for international investors. He also underscored the government’s commitment to building a robust ecosystem that helps Nigerian creatives create, protect, and profit from their work on a global scale.
