Southern Govs Rally In Ogun state over Security Concern

Seventeen governors from Nigeria’s southern region are meeting in Ogun State, to discuss rising insecurity across the country. The meeting took place at the private residence of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, who also chairs the Southern Governors’ Forum.

The governors are holding combined talks with the Southern Traditional Rulers Council to strengthen cooperation between traditional and political leaders. The gathering provides a platform to address issues of common regional interest, including peace, stability, and development.

Governor Abiodun welcomed the traditional rulers and regional leaders, stressing that their guidance is crucial to fostering honest dialogue and stronger collaboration among stakeholders. The forum aims to align strategies and expectations to tackle insecurity effectively in the southern region.
