The Adamawa State Government has signed two strategic agreements aimed at boosting electricity supply and transforming transportation in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while unveiling the deals in Yola, said the partnerships with A4&T Power Solutions Limited and Sparrow Mobility Limited mark a major step toward industrial growth, agricultural development, and improved living standards.
Under the agreement with A4&T Power Solutions, the state will see expanded power generation and distribution, with plans to invest over N80 billion in mini-grids, hybrid, and solar systems to produce 15 megawatts within five years.
The second agreement with Sparrow Mobility focuses on modernizing transportation through the assembly and rollout of 10,000 electric motorcycles and bicycles within two years, as well as setting up charging and assembly plants. The initiative is expected to reduce emissions, provide safer transport, and create jobs for young people in the state.
