In the spirit of Christmas and in commemoration of his 2025 birthday celebration, the Honourable Vice Chairman of Biase Local Government Area (LGA), *Hon. Chief Ekuma Ngwu, JP*, extended generous gestures to the people of *Erei North* and *Erei South* Council Wards.
During a vibrant and well-attended community party organized for his people, Hon. Chief Ekuma Ngwu expressed deep gratitude for the love, support, and solidarity shown to him personally, as well as to the current Biase Local Government administration under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, *Hon. Edodi Eyong Edodi*.
In a show of benevolence, the Vice Chairman donated food items and two cows valued in millions of naira, along to Erei North and Erei South Wards.
Speaking during the occasion, *Rt. Hon. Barr. Alex Ukam*, the Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Biase and Federal Commissioner representing Cross River State at the National Population Commission (NPC), led dignitaries from the two wards in receiving the kind donations. He commended Hon. Ekuma Ngwu’s exemplary leadership qualities, expressed appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, and prayed for continued divine blessings, good health, and prosperity upon him.
In his part, the Executive Chairman of Biase LGA, *Hon. Edodi Eyong Edodi*, also praised the Vice Chairman for his generosity and commitment to the welfare of the people. He expressed pride in the administration’s performance, noting that they are delivering tangible dividends of democracy, surpassing expectations and setting a high standard for future administrations.
*Hon. Barr. Odum-Ijom Ukam*, the Commissioner for Youths and Skills Acquisition, who also graced the occasion, congratulated the Vice Chairman on his birthday and lauded his consistent efforts to uplift the community.
The celebration drew a distinguished gathering, including the Vice Chairman of Ikom LGA – Hon. Maurice Ekpando, Leader & Councillor from Biase LGA, Former Vice Chairmen – Hon. Ernest Owali, Hon. Ada Charles EGWU & Hon. Unor Ilem, Former Councillor, APC Ward Chairmen and Executives, leaders of women groups, student bodies, friends, supporters, and many other well-wishers. Attendees presented numerous birthday cakes and gift items to the celebrant, whom they fondly refer to as the “People’s Vice Chairman.” The atmosphere was filled with joyful chants of birthday songs, toasts, and cheers.
