CBN Governor assures Nigerians of monetary stability

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, has assured Nigerians that the country’s monetary stability will soon translate into tangible economic benefits. The assurance followed the 303rd Monetary Policy Committee meeting in Abuja.

Governor Cardoso acknowledged concerns over the recent decline in inflation to 16.05 percent, noting that citizens are yet to feel significant relief in cost-of-living pressures. He emphasized that the current monetary reforms are designed to produce gradual but lasting economic impact.

Governor Cardoso reiterated that the focus is on sustainable and enduring growth rather than short-term fixes. He expressed confidence that the gains of monetary stability will soon be visible in everyday economic realities for Nigerians.
