Nigeria’s headline inflation rate has dropped to 16.05% in October 2025, according to the latest Consumer Price Index CPI and Inflation Report released today by the National Bureau of Statistics NBS.
This is a significant improvement from the 18.02% recorded in September and marks the seventh month in a row that inflation has gone down this year.
However, the report also noted that prices still increased slightly within the month, as month-on-month inflation rose by 0.93% in October.
The NBS added that food prices eased a little, with food inflation falling by 0.37% month-on-month, showing a small reduction in pressure on food costs
