Bandits have carried out a mass abduction at the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, seizing about 25 students during a late-night attack. The incident occurred in the Danko–Wasagu area, sending shockwaves through the community.
Witness accounts indicate that the armed men stormed the school on Sunday night, moving swiftly as they overpowered those on the premises and forced the girls away. The assault has intensified concerns over the safety of schools in the region, which has seen repeated security breaches.
During the attack, the school’s vice principal, identified as Malam Hassan Makuku, was killed.
