The Cross River Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Peter Odey PhD, has expressed motivation and support for the initiative introduced by the Special Adviser to the Governor on local content, Ambassador Awatt Caleb, aimed at providing free primary education to vulnerable and Out of School children of Cross River Origin at Citizens Academy.
During a courtesy visit by the Special Adviser to His Excellency Rt. Hon. Peter Odey in his office, the initiative was presented, focusing on strengthening education for vulnerable and Out of School Children in the state to secure a future for them in line with the peoples first mantra of Governor Bassey Otu .
Responding, the Deputy Governor, expressed delight for the establishment of Citizens Academy and Education Marshal in the state amid at ridding the city capital of human nuisance, thereby enhancing the learning environment and addressing the abuse of childs right to quality primary education, he also commended the Special Adviser on Local Content for conceiving such an innovative initiative, adding that the present
administration will do everything possible to sustain the Academy and Education Marshal.
He also pledged his support to the initiative to ensure steady progress and success.
