The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination for internal candidates, 54 days after the last paper was written.
Registrar Ibrahim Wushishi, speaking at a press conference in Minna, disclosed that 1,358,339 candidates sat the June/July exams. Of these, 818,492 — about 60.26% — secured five credits and above, including English and Mathematics.
Furthermore, 1,144,496 candidates, representing 84.26%, earned five credits and above in all subjects regardless of English and Maths.
Wushishi also announced that cases of malpractice dropped sharply, with 3,878 cases recorded in 2025 compared to 10,094 in 2024 — a 61.58% decline.
