He lauded Gumel’s recent appointment as Chairman of Botswana’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, praising it as a reflection of his exceptional skills and the increasing global esteem for Nigerian professionals. The President expressed optimism that Gumel’s new responsibilities would further enhance Nigeria’s image in international finance and economic leadership.
Turning to athletics, president Tinubu celebrated Tobi Amusan’s silver-medal finish in the 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships held in Tokyo. He praised her for her unwavering determination and national pride, adding that her performance will continue to uplift and motivate countless Nigerians. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering support for both Amusan and Gumel in their future pursuits.
