The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has issued a firm warning to the public, urging them to disregard a fraudulent recruitment advert currently circulating on social media.
In a statement released today via its official X handle, INEC debunked the claim that it is recruiting for various positions. The false advertisement directs unsuspecting applicants to a fake website inecrecruitment.com.com to submit their personal information.
INEC clarified that the commission is not conducting any recruitment at this time and does not operate the portal mentioned in the fake advert. The commission strongly advised Nigerians to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
