Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has blamed referee Chris Kavanagh for his shocking penalty miss against Fulham.
United could have taken the lead in the first half after a handball incident, but Fernandes sent his effort over the bar.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Fernandes said: “I was upset. As a penalty-taker, you have your own routines. It upset me because the referee didn’t apologise. That is what triggered me in that moment but that’s not the excuse for missing the penalty. I had a very bad hit on the ball.”
United went ahead through Leny Yoro, before substitute Emile Smith Rowe equalised for Fulham.
