Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has said Bruno Fernandes’ missed penalty against Fulham was “justice”.
United were awarded a spot-kick in the first half of their 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage. Fernandes, however, sent the ball flying into the stands.
Speaking afterwards, Amorim didn’t hold back: “I say it is justice. I didn’t think it was a pen, and then he missed it, so sort of a let off.”
The Portuguese coach also protested Fulham’s equaliser, insisting Leny Yoro had shoved Calvin Bassey before scoring.
“It is enough for me to not be able to win the ball and it is an advantage to him. It should have been disallowed. When the referees look back, I think they will be disappointed. I cannot say too much, otherwise I will get a fine!” Amorim said.
