ADC Blasts PDP Governors Over Zamfara Meeting Amid Killings

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a swipe at governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for holding a political meeting in Zamfara just days after bandits slaughtered villagers in the state.

Recent figures show that at least 24 people were killed, 16 wounded, and 144 kidnapped across several local councils in Zamfara. Despite this, PDP governors gathered in the state on Saturday, August 23.

In a strongly worded statement, ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, described the move as callous.

“Meeting in Zamfara under such tragic circumstances shows sheer disregard for the victims. It is an act of insensitivity at a time when families are mourning,” Abdullahi said.
