The Anambra State Police Command has strongly condemned the reported assault of a female NYSC member in Oba, Idemili South, allegedly by vigilante operatives.
Police say suspects have been identified but investigations are delayed as the victim is yet to come forward.
The Command reminded the public that assault is a criminal offence and warned vigilante groups against abuse of power, stressing that any misconduct will be met with legal action.
It assured corps members of their safety, urging them to promptly report any case of harassment or intimidation.
