The lawyer representing Jennifer Elobor, an NYSC member assaulted by security operatives in Anambra, has made chilling revelations.
Speaking on Channels TV, Cyrus Onu alleged that the operatives threatened to rape and kill Jennifer after she challenged them during a raid on corps members’ lodge.
Masked and armed, they allegedly beat her, hurled insults, and threatened her colleagues who tried to intervene.
“They told her, ‘That thing you’re trying to cover, we’ll see it today. We’ll rape you, kill you, and dump you,’” Onu said.
Governor Soludo’s aide, Ken Emeakayi, confirmed that the culprits have been arrested and suspended, pending disciplinary review.
But Jennifer’s lawyer dismissed the government’s response as weak, insisting the attackers must be prosecuted and pay damages. “There must be consequences for bad behaviour,” he stressed.
