President Tinubu Departs For Tour of Japan and Brazil

President Bola Tinubu will depart today for a two-nation tour of Japan and Brazil, with a brief stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His first destination will be Yokohama, Japan, where he will attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development, TICAD9, from August 20 to 22.

During his stay in Japan, President Tinubu will participate in plenary sessions, hold bilateral talks, and meet with executives of Japanese companies investing in Nigeria. 

Following the Japan engagement, the president will head to Brasília for a state visit from August 24 to 25 at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. While in Brazil, he will hold bilateral talks with his host, attend a business forum, and lead a delegation of ministers and senior officials to explore new areas of cooperation.
