APC’s governorship candidate in Anambra, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, says his party will use next weekend’s bye-elections as a show of strength ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial poll.
Speaking in Awka while receiving market union leaders, Ukachukwu claimed APC had “taken over” the state and would use the Anambra South Senatorial and Onitsha North 1 State Constituency by-elections to demonstrate it.
“We will use August 16 as a sample to show Soludo that Anambra is APC territory,” he said, promising pro-trader policies such as single-digit government-backed loans and tax reforms.
Ukachukwu vowed to appoint a trader as Commissioner for Trade and Commerce if elected, saying “Grammar does not govern — experience does.”
