The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has strongly denied allegations that he forced the resignation of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited CEO, Bayo Ojulari.
The EFCC, in a statement, condemned a report that accused Olukoyede of abducting Ojulari and compelling him to step down as the commission chairman, through his legal team, demands a full retraction and a public apology from the news outlet within 48 hours.
Olukoyede described the story as damaging and misleading, arguing that it undermines public trust in the commission’s leadership. The statement insists that the accusations are false and calls for the immediate removal of the publication from all platforms.
