India’s stock markets closed with heavy losses In Oil & Gas, FMCG, and Healthcare sectors

India’s stock markets closed lower today with heavy losses in the Oil & Gas, FMCG, and Healthcare sectors. The Nifty 50 slipped by 0.30 percent, while the BSE Sensex 30 dropped by 0.38 percent.

Among the top gainers on both indices were Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, and Maruti Suzuki. Titan led the session with a gain of over 2 percent, closing above 3,425 Rupees, while IndusInd Bank and Maruti Suzuki recorded steady gains of over 1 percent, offering some support to the broader market.

On the downside, Adani Ports, Reliance Industries, and Infosys were the biggest drags. Adani Ports fell nearly 2 percent, while Reliance and Infosys both declined over 1 percent, contributing significantly to the market’s negative close.
