NAPTIP Calls For Intensified Public Collaboration Against Human Trafficking

The Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Binta Bello, has called for intensified public collaboration in the fight against human trafficking across Ogun State and Nigeria.

Speaking during a sensitization walk held in Abeokuta to mark the 2025 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, Bello represented by the Ogun State NAPTIP Commander, Bosede Jimoh  urged citizens to support the agency’s efforts in dismantling trafficking networks and holding perpetrators accountable.

The walk, organized in partnership with the Ogun State Taskforce on Human Trafficking, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, and other stakeholders, involved representatives from the police, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Federal Road Safety Corps and several NGOs.

Bello highlighted the theme of this year’s observance: “Human Trafficking is Organized Crime End the Exploitation,” and stressed that communities must be proactive in identifying and reporting suspicious activities.
