Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has announced an increase in the monthly allowance of National Youth Service Corps NYSC members serving in the state from ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.
Fintiri made the announcement today during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Damare, Gi-rei Local Government Area.
The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to youth development, highlighting that the increased allowance complements ongoing welfare support, including consistent food supply and other key initiatives.
Fintiri also revealed that plans were underway for the construction of a brand-new NYSC orientation camp in the state and directed the NYSC State Coordinator to involve corps members with relevant professional backgrounds such as architecture, civil engineering, and quantity surveying in supervising the project.
Welcoming the newly sworn-in corps members, Governor Fintiri described them as critical partners in implementing government policies, particularly in the education sector. He encouraged them to uphold discipline, participate actively in community development, and foster positive relationships during their service year.
