Emma Njoku Foundation Trained Over 160 Youths Across The 6 Geo Political Zones In Nigeria

Over 300 Youths from the 6 geo political zones had been recently trained in Mechanised Agriculture to improve food security and unemployment in Nigeria.

The Training was facilitated by a non governmental organisation (NGO). Emma Njoku Foundation the beneficiaries were equipped with the latest technology, and new methods in the value chain of agriculture, to the theme is to create employment in the sector.

The training which took place at the CSS farms is to enable the trainees to make use of the farm machinery of the Farm at Gora in Keffi.

Iheanyi Ihugba, declared that “we were here earlier to train the batch A and are back to wrap up the second batch of about 160 trainees selected through a competitive process across Nigeria.

The Emma Njoku Foundation is passionate about reducing Poverty in the Country, and increasing Agriculture in the nation.

According to Prof Kennedy Okpara, Founder CSS Farms “a nation that cannot provide food for its population would continue to experience insecurity and plenty challenges and sustainability.

Prof Kennedy, clearly stated that this training will help reduce food shortage in the Country as the Batch also go back to their various destination to embark on the training giving to them, he said.

Mr Nwabueze Onuegbu says “the business is a big opportunity, and we want them to learn all new methods in Agriculture. Not the hand to hoe method of agriculture. Agricultural use of machineries is the latest means practice world wide”.

One of the beneficiaries who spoke to This is Africa Magazine said “With this training it proves that, the Youths are not left behind, citing that, Emma Njoku foundation will be excited because of the opportunities he has provided of 160 Nigerians to learn the New method of mechanised farming.
